Supermarket Iceland has issued a recall on one of its products, with customers urged ‘do not eat’.

Iceland 4 Golden Savoury Rice Steam Bags could cause ‘serious health risks’ due to undeclared allergens, according to the retailer.

It is asking anyone who have bought the rice bags to return them for a full refund.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said the item could contain crustaceans, fish, milk and molluscs that have not been displayed on the packaging.

The FSA said: ‘This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to crustaceans and/or an allergy to fish and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to molluscs.’

The risks apply to the 600g bags of Iceland 4 Golden Savoury Rice Steam Bags with a best-before date of November 16 2025.

In their statement, the FSA advised: ‘If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to any Iceland store for a full refund.

Iceland issued a statement saying: ‘We are taking the precautionary measure of recalling this date code of the above product because it may contain undeclared fish, crustaceans, molluscs and milk and therefore poses a potential risk to people that have an allergy to fish, crustaceans, molluscs and milk.

‘Only the Best Before date listed in this notice is affected.’

It said no receipt was needed to receive a refund.

Earlier this week The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) confirmed a person had died due to an ongoing E.coli outbreak in the UK.

It’s thought the outbreak could have been caused by some supermarket sandwiches containing salad leaves, with several manufacturers issuing recalls for some of their products as a precaution.
