It didn’t take long for Josh Reynolds to find a new home.
A day after being let go by the Broncos, the veteran wide receiver was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars, a source told The Denver Post on Wednesday.
Reynolds recorded 12 catches for 198 yards and a touchdown before being placed on the injured reserve after he broke his finger against Las Vegas in Week 5 and needed minor surgery. While he was sidelined, Reynolds was shot twice in an incident during which he and two others had their vehicle shot at more than 30 times in what the Denver District Attorney’s Office called a “coordinated, organized” attack.
In an Instagram story post, Reynolds thanked the Broncos for his time with the team. “I just wanted to give thanks to the Broncos country for accepting me into a top notch organization and giving me a chance to ball. I wish nothing (but the) best for the team and my guys I grinded with all year.”
Reynolds signed a two-year, $9 million deal this spring that came with a $2 million signing bonus and $4.25 million in total guarantees. Waiving him will clear $4.5 million in space on the Broncos’ 2025 salary cap and leave a $1 million dead cap charge for 2025.
