Jewelry, silverware worth $12,150 stolen from Saratoga residence

Identity Theft, Mail Theft, Unlicensed Driver: Deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga Avenue and Quito Road for multiple equipment violations. They investigated and found the driver did not have a license and had two outstanding warrants. Inside the vehicle, deputies located numerous articles of stolen mail, checks, debit cards and a driver’s license, none of which belonged to either the driver or passenger. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the main jail.

Theft by False Pretense: Someone approached the victim in the Wells Fargo parking lot on Big Basin Way, told the victim they dropped some money and offered to put the money back into the victim’s wallet. The victim agreed, and the suspect then stole a credit card before handing the wallet back. The suspect then used the credit card to make fraudulent purchases totaling approximately $4,200.

Identity Theft: Someone used a Saratoga resident’s personal information to access a bank account and then made fraudulent purchases totaling approximately $4,877.

Nov. 30

Residential Burglary: Between Nov. 28 and 30, someone entered an unoccupied residence in the 13000 block of Via Madronas Road by breaking a rear sliding glass door and stole jewelry and silverware for a loss valued at approximately $12,150.
