John Hunt reveals he ‘still chats to his wife and daughters’ every day

BBC’s John Hunt has spoken about the deaths of his wife and two daughters for the first time after they were murdered in a crossbow attack.
John, along with his daughter Amy, said they have now chosen to speak publicly because they did not want their loved ones to be defined by their deaths.
Louise Hunt, 25, her sister Hannah, 28, and their mum Carol, 61, were killed after Louise’s ex-boyfriend Kyle Clifford tricked his way into the family home in July.

Instead, the racing commentator said the three had left behind a ‘legacy of love’ and still speaks to them when he wakes up everyday.
In an emotional interview with the BBC, he said: ‘From the moment I wake up, I say good morning to each of them.
‘Sometimes I say out loud to Hannah and Louise, “sorry I can’t be with you, I’m with your mum at the moment”.
‘As I close my eyes at night, I chat to them as well. They’re very close to me all the time.’

Clifford stabbed Carol to death, then tied up and raped Louise before killing her with a crossbow. When Hannah arrived, he shot her too. She texted an alert before dying at the scene.
John said: ‘Whatever sentence you are about to receive, whatever misery lies ahead for you for the next 60 years, remember that, after your days on earth are done, on your dying day, there will be no release for you.
‘The screams of hell, Kyle… I can hear them faintly now. The red carpet will come out for you. At that point, when the person you could have been meets the person you are, you will realise your miserable fate will last for eternity.’
