Ace Frehley, the legendary original lead guitarist for the rock band KISS, is in the hospital and on life support, according to a report from TMZ.
The prognosis for the 74-year-old Frehley “is not good,” according to the news agency.
“Sources familiar with Ace’s situation tell us … he suffered a brain bleed when he took a fall in his studio a couple weeks ago — forcing him to cancel his upcoming tour dates — but his health has not improved,” TMZ writes.
More news about Ace Frehley’s situation could be coming at any minute today.
“We’re told he’s been on a ventilator for some time, and hasn’t gotten better — so, his family is considering turning off support … perhaps as soon as Thursday evening,” according to TMZ.
There are already plenty of rumors flying around that Frehley has already passed away. But there has been no official word as of yet.
Social media is full of mentions of the situation, with fans wanting to know more details on Frehley’s health and others claiming to have inside information about what is going on with the guitarist.
This is a developing story and more details will be added as they become available.
Frehley co-founded KISS with vocalist-guitarist Paul Stanley, bassist Gene Simmons and drummer Peter Criss in 1972/73 time frame. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of KISS in 2014.
