Klatch Coffee’s rapid expansion is underway through its partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market.
On Monday, Nov. 17, the Rancho Cucamonga-based company opened the first of 20 new cafes inside Sprouts’ Southern California grocery stores.
The new cafe is in Klatch’s hometown at 6753 Carnelian St., also called the Alta Loma Sprouts.
The cafe is in the front of the building between the store’s two sliding doors. It has a little more space than other Sprouts cafes, including an alcove with a dining counter where customers can watch baristas pull espresso shots.
The staff also offers guests the option of drinking from latte glasses instead of disposable cups.

The cafe will be open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
It serves hot and cold beverages, breakfast items such as avocado toast and grab-and-go pastries.
Sprouts locations are serving a holiday exclusive, Gingerbread Latte, as well as other limited-time beverages such as Polar Cold Brew with peppermint cold foam, Peppermint Twist Mocha and Holiday Cider.
Alta Loma was the first of nine cafes in phase one of Klatch’s expansion, which won’t be slowing down much for the holiday season, according to representatives.
Next up is La Verne, with a tentative opening during Thanksgiving week, depending on city permits. After that is Glendora, with four other openings planned for December.
Other upcoming locations include Diamond Bar, Eagle Rock, Huntington Beach, West Covina and two on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles.
Each cafe will have its own design, adapting to space available within the grocery stores.
There will be 11 cafes in phase two, including Klatch’s debut in San Diego, which is expected to open in the first quarter of 2026.
Klatch’s original coffee shops have longer menus than the Sprouts cafes.
Klatch, founded by Mike and Cindy Perry in 1993, had seven locations before partnering with Sprouts. In addition to its coffee shops, Klatch was known for its tasting events at its roastery.
The partnership began in 2024, when the Phoenix-based grocery chain was looking to repurpose underused space in its stores. Klatch initially opened five “baby cafes,” as chief executive officer Heather Perry called them. The first was in Fontana, followed by Redlands, Eastvale, Fullerton and Rancho Cucamonga’s other Sprouts store on Day Creek Boulevard.
Sprouts has other regional partners in other parts of the country. For instance, in Arizona it works with a small-batch roaster called Press Coffee.
