The countdown to the Los Angeles County Fair is on as it returns next week with more food, fun, farm animals and art.
The 2025 fair, themed “Art Unleashed,” kicks off Friday, May 2, and runs through May 26.
New this year to go with the artistic theme, the Center Theater Group has created a play starring Fair mascot Thummer, which will be performed every weekend. Bob Baker Marionettes will also perform every Sunday.
Musical acts Mya, War, and Los Huracanes Del Norte are scheduled to perform, along with many others through May at the fairgrounds. Tickets can be purchased for the concerts online at lacountyfair.com/concerts.
Returning this year are some crowd favorites, including farm animal races in the big red barn, tempting food items like deep-fried Twinkies, and live performances throughout the grounds.
Added last year and also returning this season are Skate-r-Cade, which is included with admission, and Clay Play, where guests can throw pottery for an additional fee.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate and start at $18.50 for adults and $15.50 for kids under 12.
Guests looking to attend the fair more than once can save by purchasing a Fairplex season pass starting at $79, that includes the LA Fair and five other Fairplex events such as Lights Out Halloween and Fall in the Farm, or guests can purchase the $25 Value Pass which includes admission to the fair for the first two weeks.
