“Let It Snow!” in NoHo drew 3,000 to enjoy artificial snowfall and free toys for children

Hosted by Los Angeles City Councilmember Adrin Nazarian, the Valley Plaza Park was alive on Saturday with festive decorations, a 20-foot Christmas tree, artificial snowfall and children who received free toys.

“I’m thrilled we were able to end my first year on the City Council with this celebration for the people of the East Valley,” Nazarian said. “It’s been such a tough year for so many people, I’m glad we’re able to get together and enjoy some holiday spirit.”

“We’ve got over 3,000 people here, most of them kids, and we’re giving away thousands of free toys to so every kid in the neighborhood can feel some Christmas joy,” he said. “When you see the look on their faces as they choose their gifts and get their picture taken with Santa Claus, all the work we’ve done this year feels worthwhile.”

When the sun went down at 4:43pm artificial snow began to fall, drawing children who played with the snowflakes and got pictures with Santa Claus or Frosty the Snowman.

“Between the kids, the music and the snowflakes floating in the air, it’s been a magical evening,” Nazarian said. “My staff and I can’t wait to do it again next year.”
