Letter: Katie Porter is unfit to be the next governor of California

Katie Porter should not be elected governor. Peers have knowledge of the character and leadership skills of those colleagues with whom they have served. In three terms, Katie Porter was never appointed to a leadership position in the United States House of Representatives.

Harvard School of Business has a course that proclaims the following: “For senior leaders, building and sustaining high-impact relationships is critical to driving organizational success. Leadership thrives on alliances founded on trust, mutual benefit, and positive outcomes.”

How was Porter’s relationship with her congressional colleagues? Democrat Harley Rouda, served in the US House with Porter, 2019 to 2021, opined in this paper in January 2024. “I hope you vote for someone with character, stability, and wisdom. To me, Katie’s not that person, who is in this for power and her ego”.
