Letter: Newsom should spent less time on plastic bags, more time preventing wildfires

Instead of worrying about “impactful” issues such as plastic straws and plastic bags, maybe Gov. Gavin Newsom and the California Legislature should concern themselves with preventing fires and promoting desalination in order to try and mitigate the impact of wildfires. Otherwise, they will probably suffer defeat during the next election cycle.
