Local restaurants offering bountiful menu options for Thanksgiving

Whether you feast on bird or beast, local restaurants are ready to serve you up a Thanksgiving bounty for which to be grateful.

Los Gatos

The Lexington House will offer a four-course dinner on Thanksgiving, from 6-8:30 p.m., beginning with a seasonal crostini or cornbread, choice of gnocchi with wild mushroom medley and optional fresh truffle from Tuscany (upcharge), or salad course of Fuji apple, cranberry and pomegranate with pecans, goat cheese and Dijon honey vinaigrette. Mains feature a choice of roasted half duck accompanied by traditional Thanksgiving sides, and New York steak. For dessert, choose between pumpkin pie or Famous Basque cheesecake. $119 per person. Lelé Kitchen will be open from 2:30-7:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving with a special menu for $135 per person, with two optional wine pairings: reserve pairing for $79 and standard for $49.

Want to celebrate Friendsgiving, any day except Thanksgiving from now until the end of November? Chef Nadiv Geiger at Testarossa’s Bistro 107 offers a three-course, communal-style feast perfect for friends and family. Begin with buttermilk and biscuits, then salad or soup. Entrees include roasted duck with confit legs and gravy, honey-glazed pork shoulder, pomegranate/pinot noir braised short ribs, and Flannery prime rib with jus and horseradish cream (upcharge of $26 per guest; preorder only). Choose four sides from sausage sourdough dressing; winter roots, leek and ricotta lasagna (vegetarian); roasted mushrooms; cacio e pepe Brussels sprouts; parmesan mashed potatoes; and spiced honey-glazed carrots. Desserts are apple pie turnover and sweet potato cobbler. $67 per guest, $42 for minors under age 11, plus 20% gratuity.

Have a hankering for oak-smoked turkey? Craving brisket? Head to The Cats for their buffet, which includes smoked turkey, maple-bourbon glazed ham and Southern-style sides like sage and sausage stuffing, sweet potato mash and mac and cheese. Saratoga

A bounteous five-course Thanksgiving dinner can be yours at The Plumed Horse for $185 per person. Leave the hosting, cooking and cleaning to Chef Peter Armellino and his team on Nov. 27, whose elegant menu features fall flavors and accents. Seatings will begin at 3 p.m. Kindly inform them of any allergies or dietary restrictions when making your reservation. Santa Cruz

Chaminade offers a Thanksgiving Day buffet from 9 a.m.-7 p.m., featuring a carving station with prime rib and cider-brined turkey, an omelet bar, a poke bar, traditional holiday accompaniments and desserts. Gluten-free and vegan selections will be available. San Jose

The Fountain Restaurant at the Signia Hilton San Jose offers Thanksgiving Day brunch from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., featuring California citrus-brined turkey with chorizo cornbread stuffing, slow-cooked prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, maple-glazed pork loin with roasted kabocha pumpkin, and honey-orange glazed salmon. Made-to-order omelets, French toast and Belgian waffles fill the breakfast niche, and chef-curated stations are brimming with sushi, sashimi and an abundant chilled seafood bar. The Farmers’ Market table includes artisanal salads, grilled vegetables and charcuterie and cheese from local and international producers. A decadent dessert spread, including pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan, salted caramel and a flowing chocolate fountain, help you end on a sweet note. Chef Alex Jimenez and Sous Chef Juan Carol Serna of Dry Creek Grill are offering Thanksgiving dinner with a special menu from 1-7:30 p.m. Items to share include deviled eggs, short rib empanadas, Brussels sprouts and crab cakes, plus soups and salads. Entrees include a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, plus lamb chops, short ribs, grilled swordfish and winter squash and kale ravioli with Gorgonzola cream.

Palm & Ember Restaurant at Hayes Mansion offers a three-course menu with choice of salads and choice of turkey breast or leg, accompanied by traditional sides and a choice of pumpkin pie, pecan pie or brown butter apple tart for dessert. The kid’s plate includes turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and mac and cheese. Freshly baked rolls and coffee are included. LB Steak offers a spectacular feast from 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., featuring turkey roulade with cranberry jam, sweet potato gratin, green beans and pan gravy for $47, and fall apple crisp tart with vanilla bean ice cream or cinnamon rum pumpkin pie with crème Chantilly for $16.

Left Bank Brasserie offers a three-course prix fixe menu from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., with dishes like Fuyu persimmon salad, butternut squash soup and entrées like roasted turkey with all the trimmings, butternut squash ravioli, steak au poivre, or salmon with French lentils. Meso Modern Mediterranean offers a Mediterranean feast from noon-8 p.m., with indulgent starters like roasted oyster mushrooms in porcini velouté or crispy fried brie with caramelized onions. Il Fornaio, with locations in San Jose and Palo Alto, offers a four-course menu at $59 for adults and $25 for children 12 and younger. Begin with a butternut squash and potato soup with sage and onions, topped with Grana Padano cheese crouton, followed by a frisee, radicchio and endive salad with toasted walnuts, red grapes and gorgonzola cheese with Champagne vinaigrette. A traditional main of roasted turkey breast with traditional bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, baked yams and haricots verts will be followed by a traditional pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar will offer a two-course menu featuring a choice of filet mignon, USDA prime bone-in ribeye or traditional mixed-herb roasted turkey breast. Begin with either a fall salad with lemon balsamic vinaigrette or lobster bisque with sherry cream, then pair your entrée with savory house-made stuffing and shareable sides including mashed potatoes, green beans with apricots and onions and cinnamon orange cranberry sauce. Starting at $59 per person. Sunnyvale

Adrestia at the TETRA Hotel Sunnyvale will offer a $75 pre fixe menu or à la carte experience with a contemporary twist on classic holiday flavors from 5-9 p.m. Enjoy Heirloom Gardens corn bisque with lobster and black truffle, Heritage Farms turkey with all the traditional sides, and pumpkin cheesecake topped with candied pecans and bourbon caramel.
