London commuters are being hit with a double-whammy of delays today on the M25 and the London Underground.
Drivers on the capital’s major beltway are facing delays of up to half an hour anticlockwise between junctions J25 and J23 as well as J29 and 28.
A broken-down vehicle on the M25 anticlockwise exit slip at junction J3 is also causing logjams. Normal traffic conditions aren’t expected until 7.15am, according to National Highways.
Things aren’t exactly better for Tube riders this morning. TfL’s status webpage says there are severe delays on the Metropolitan line due to a faulty train. While earlier disruption on the District line has since cleared, there is no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to a shortage of Piccadilly line trains as engineers deal with a leaf-fall situation.
