Los Gatos is springing into activity with Spring Wine Walk

The staff of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce is busy all year round, and spring is no exception. This Saturday marks the Spring Wine Walk, and the 1,200 available tickets are expected to sell out. “This is one of our most popular events,” says Chamber CEO Jennifer Lin. “This attracts visitors from far and near. We’ve had busloads of birthday celebrants, bridal parties and reunions. It’s a great way to see our town, share good times and great wine.” Saturday, April 26, 2-5 pm. Spring cleaning for you may mean treasures for others. In honor of Earth Day, LGS Recreation is hosting a Thrifted Treasures Shop and Sell on Sunday, May 18, starting at 10 a.m., where you can either sell or shop preloved items. Secondhand shopping can lead to unique, affordable finds and saves landfills. Selling secondhand declutters items that no longer serve you. Adult Recreation Center, 208 E. Main St. Registration is required for sellers at www.lgsrecreation.org, and space is limited.

The Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center is hosting FitFest 2025, a fun yet challenging fitness experience featuring a 10-exercise circuit, on Sunday, May 4, at 10 a.m. Participants can choose from three options based on ability and fitness level. All three workouts include scalable versions of lunge, row, box jumps/step ups, sit ups/plank, farmers carry, bike, shoulder throwovers, running and burpees. The Santa Clara Master Gardeners Spring Garden Fair is a terrific place to select plants not readily available elsewhere, selected for outstanding taste, beauty and performance in the local soil and climate. The fair is set for Saturday April 26, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at Martial Cottle Park in San Jose, where hundreds of seedlings that will be for sale were raised. The Plant Daycare will watch your purchases while you attend a talk or demonstration. Arrive early for best selection. Plants start at $5. Admission is free; parking is $6.

For 66 years, the first weekend in May has meant the Saratoga Rotary Art Show. This year, on May 3-4, crowds at West Valley College will view works by over 125 artists. The club invites all to “shop art, enjoy entertainment, interactive activities, food, wine, mimosas and beer while supporting local community projects.” Proceeds from the show support local projects through grants awarded by the Saratoga Rotary Charitable Fund, which has awarded more than $1.5 million in grants. www.saratogarotary.org

Kiwanis Special Games at West Valley College will see over 1,000 challenged/special needs students from the Bay Area compete in a variety of sports on Friday, April 25 The games are put on annually by Kiwanis Clubs in the South Bay and Peninsula. 8:30 a.m.-noon; the parade of athletes starts at 9:30 a.m. kiwanislosgatos@gmail.com
