Hundreds of people across the country fell ill after an E.coli outbreak last week, with at least 67 of those admitted to hospital, according to the UK Health Security Agency.
They warned symptoms of E.coli infection include severe diarrhoea, abdominal pain and kidney failure.
It comes days after a group of major supermarkets recalled a selection of sandwiches, wraps and salads over E.coli fears.
Aldi, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Co-op and Boots are among the stores warning customers not to eat some of the pre-packed products made by Greencore Group.
Greencore Group recalled 45 different items as a ‘precautionary measure’ due to possible contamination with the bacteria.
