Sunseeker Geoff Edwards, 47, of Portsmouth, said: “All the busier Irish pubs I’ve tried are out.
“We’re here another week so hopefully the suppliers get their finger out or I won’t be happy.”
Sonia Rioja Brennan, who owns the Dubliner Bar and Brennan’s, said: “I sell 15 kegs a week in both bars and ran out a week ago.
“More than the money aspect, it’s a reputation thing.
“How can an Irish pub not sell Guinness on tap?”
Eduardo, the manager of All Blacks Irish Pub in Torremolinos, told The Sun: “We’re really low on Guinness at the moment. I haven’t got enough to reach the end of the week.
“We sell Murphy’s too but it’s not the same.
“I know I’m going to have a lot of unhappy customers if the problem doesn’t get fixed soon.”
Pubs as far away as Canada have reported running out in what appears to be a global shortage.
Part of the reason for the sales boom is the Splitting the G game in which drinkers try to sip a pint to exactly halfway down the G of Guinness printed on the glass.
