Male victim dies after shooting in Van Nuys early Sunday

One person died after a shooting early Sunday, Jan. 5, in Van Nuys.

Officers responded around 5:35 a.m. near the 16100 block of Leadwell Street, north of Sherman Way and west of the 405 Freeway, where they found a male victim who had been shot once lying in the street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Fire officials arrived and took the victim to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police don’t yet know the victim’s age.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information is available.
