A 20-year-old is in critical condition after he was shot in South Shore on Friday evening.
The man was on the sidewalk in the 7100 block of South Yates Boulevard at about 5:15 p.m. when he was shot by an unknown offender, police said. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is in custody, and Area One Detectives are investigating.
