Man, 35, arrested after high street shooting in Bexleyheath

A man has been taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting in south-east London.
Emergency services were called to Broadway, Bexleyheath, shortly after 2am.
Two men were treated at the scene, one for a gunshot wound and the other for a head injury, before they were taken to hospital.
The gunshot victim’s condition is not known. The other man, believed to be the suspect arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, was taken to hospital.
Photos from the scene show several police vans parked near the Esso garage, while a cordon is put in place.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told Metro: ‘On Sunday, 4 January at 2.15am police were called to reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath.

‘Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated a 30-year-old man for a gunshot wound before taking him to hospital. We await an update on his condition.
‘A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene. He was taken to hospital due to his injuries.
‘Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 630/04Jan.’
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 2.10am today (4 January) to reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath.
‘We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
‘We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
