A MAN told a pal “it’s working, she’s bleeding” after he forced an unwitting woman to have an abortion by drugging her, a court heard.
Stuart Worby is accused of using two drugs to cause the alleged victim to lose her baby at 15 weeks.

The 40-year-old also refused to take her to hospital for three hours while she suffered severe abdominal pain, jurors heard.
Norwich Crown Court heard he and friend Wayne Finney had “put their heads together” to see how to induce a miscarriage.
The “cold, callous and calculating” plan was uncovered when the woman discovered a message on Worby’s phone that read: “It’s working, she’s bleeding”.
She was rushed to hospital on August 4, 2022, suffering from painful cramps and bleeding.
The woman, who can’t be named, later miscarried her baby, who had been “struggling to stay alive”, jurors heard.
Medical evidence confirmed traces of mifepristone, which is used in early abortions, was found in the woman’s blood and on foetal tissue.
Worby is accused of sexually assaulting her by inserting one of the drugs into the woman without her knowledge or consent.
He admits he unlawfully acquired the medication but claimed he had a change of heart.
Worby said he crushed a pill into the woman’s drink but poured it away, which could explain why it was in the woman’s system.
But Edward Vickers KC, prosecuting, said: “The biggest lie of all was when he said his conscience got the better of him and he couldn’t go ahead with administering the drugs.
“We say that is utter nonsense.”
The court was told Finney acted as a go-between for Worby and his girlfriend Nueza Cepeda, who acquired the medication.
He has admitted helping to research the drugs but denies he encouraged his partner to get the tablets.
In one text message Finney told Worby: “They are sending pills today”.
Worby replied: “Thanks for being there for me, mate”.
Jurors heard Cepeda has admitted supplying or procuring an instrument to be used with the intent to procure a miscarriage.
Worby has pleaded guilty to unlawfully acquiring two drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol, but denies giving them to the woman.
He has also denied two counts of sexual assault.
Finney has pleaded not guilty to intentionally encouraging or assisting in the commission of the alleged offence.
The trial continues.
