A death investigation is underway following the Sunday death of a man found at a West Side cooling center.
The unidentified man, 54, was found unresponsive outside the Garfield Center, 10 S. Kedzie Ave. about 5:10 p.m. on July 17, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and police.
The man was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Sunday at 8:42 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
Police said there were no visible injuries and foul play is not suspected.
It was not clear what caused the man’s death but an autopsy is scheduled.
