Detectives are looking into the death of a man found apparently beaten to death in the Garfield Park neighborhood apartment early Thursday on the West Side.
Officers responded to a call of service at 1:20 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Madison Street and found the 64-year-old man lying on the ground with trauma to his head, Chicago police said.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one was in custody.
Area 3 detectives are investigating.
