A man has been arrested after at least one person was shot and four were injured in a shooting in Sydney, Australia.
Streets in the western suburb of Croydon Park have been locked down after gunfire was reported at around 7.45pm local time (9.30am UK time).
Witnesses claimed the shooter fired four bullets from the roof of a restaurant, with riot police swarming the residential streets.
A man in his 50s was taken to Canterbury Hospital with a gunshot wound, the ambulance service told NewsWire. He has since been transferred to the Royal Prince Alfred clinic.

Three others presented themselves to the Campsite Police Station with minor injuries, with two taken to local hospitals for further treatment.
At least two – a man and a woman in their 30s – were treated for injuries not involving a firearm.
Another person was treated at the scene and has since been transported to the hospital.
Police arrested a man in a building on Georges River Road about 9.30pm and seized firearms.
The authorities sent residents a text warning them to ‘shelter in place’.

Georges River Road is closed between Croydon Avenue and Seymour Street and Brighton Avenue is closed between Georges River Road and Queensborough Road.
The police said: ‘A police operation is currently underway at Croydon Park after shots were fired.
‘Specialist resources are attending, and the public is urged to stay inside, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.’
