A murder probe has been launched after a woman was found dead in a home in Northamptonshire.
She was discovered inside a home on Donnington Road, Burton Latimer, after a car crash at a McDonald’s restaurant some minutes away led them to the property.
Police officers were alerted to the fast-food restaurant on Folley Way at about 3.30pm on Friday after a smash.
A 35-year-old man had crashed his blue Skoda Superb car into the restaurant wall.
When he was questioned, police officers learned about the woman at the property, which is located less than five minutes from the McDonald’s.

She died as a result of pressure on her neck, a preliminary forensic post-mortem has revealed, the police said.
Detectives have now arrested the 35-year-old man on suspicion of murder, and he remains in police custody.
Neither the victim nor the male suspect are previously known to the police.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Torie Harrison, of EMSOU, said: ‘While we’re not yet able to formally name the victim, our family liaison officers are supporting her family and keeping them up to date on our progress is our priority.
‘This is a fast-moving investigation dedicated to finding the answers they need, and I’d like to offer reassurance that we continue to treat this as an isolated incident with no risk to the wider public.
‘I would like to thank all those witnesses who have already spoken to us, and ask anyone who may have information but has yet to speak to us to come forward.’
Heavy police presence remains in place on the residential street as the investigation continues and neighbourhood officers provide support and assurance to residents.
Superintendent Steve Freeman, the local area commander for North Northamptonshire, said previously: ‘I know that people are very upset by this tragic death, and I want to reassure the community that we are not seeking anyone else in connection with this investigation and we do not believe there is a wider risk to the community.
‘The investigation is fast-moving and our teams are dedicated to securing answers to what has happened.’
