A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in a fatal stabbing at a Brighton home last week, police officials said Tuesday.
Johnny Jose Moreno was arrested by Aurora police officers early Friday morning, the Brighton Police Department said in a news release.
The stabbing occurred about 5 p.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of East Bridge Street, when police were called about an unconscious man and found a 34-year-old with stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at Platte Valley Medical Center.
Moreno fled the scene after the stabbing, and investigators believe he knew the victim, according to the department.
