Man charged in fatal April shooting in Roseland

A man accused of killing another man he knew outside a Roseland home in April was arrested Friday at O’Hare Airport, Chicago police said.

Flomont Johnson, 28, is charged with a count of first-degree murder and possession of a weapon as a repeat felon, police said.

About 7:15 a.m. on April 30, Eric McMillen, 52, was arguing with Johnson outside the home in the 11200 block of South Normal Avenue when Johnson allegedly shot him in his chest and abdomen, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

McMillen, of the South Chicago neighborhood, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 8:14 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

Johnson is said to have fled, but he was arrested in the 10000 block of West O’Hare Street on Friday, police said. He is due in court Monday.
