Man charged in fatal South Shore gas station shooting

A 41-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting a man outside a South Shore gas station early Wednesday, Chicago police said.

Jonathan Robinson allegedly got into an argument with the still-unidentified 40-year-old man and shot him several times around 1:15 a.m. at the gas station in the 7400 block of South Stony Island Avenue, according to authorities.

He was dead at the scene, police said.

Robinson, who was arrested Wednesday around 10:30 a.m., is scheduled to appear a detention hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse later Friday.
