A man is charged in the stabbing of another man that took place in Uptown Wednesday night, according to Chicago police.
Edward Harris, 57, faces three felony counts of aggravated battery — one each for the stabbing occurring in public, use of a deadly weapon and causing great bodily harm — as well as another charge for possessing a weapon as a felon, police said.
Harris is accused of stabbing a 49-year-old man in the 4700 block of North Broadway shortly before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. He was arrested about a block away from the scene moments after the stabbing took place.
Harris is expected to appear in court Friday.
