A MAN has been charged with murder over the death of a Brit who was reportedly hit on the back of the head with a garden hoe.
Martin Allwright, 59, was walking his dog in the small town of Zurgena, southern Spain, when he got into a row with his neighbour.

The incident is understood to have occurred after the neighbour got upset with Allwright for walking his dog near his home.
He then allegedly ran out of his property to attack the Brit with a garden tool.
Allwright was rushed to a nearby hospital with severe head injuries but was later pronounced dead by the medical staff.
An unnamed 59-year-old was arrested following the attack on August 12 on suspicion of attempted murder.
He was released on bail as the police then investigated him for suspected bodily harm.
Allwright – originally from Exeter, Devon – underwent brain surgery after he was hit with the garden roe.
But he died from his injuries in hospital on August 19.
Allwright’s alleged killer is Spanish but the authorities are withholding his name.
He is known to the victim.
A spokesman for the Spanish Civil Guard previously said: “It is now a matter for the court which has launched an ongoing investigation.”
Martin’s widow Sarah Allwright is fundraising to cover the costs of a criminal lawyer.
She had raised £5,356 of her £7,600 target, as reported by NeedToKnow.
She said: “Martin had a great many friends and he was always up for a laugh.
“His great passion was Exeter Chiefs rugby and it will be sad that he won’t be watching the start of the new season with me.”
It comes after a 19-year-old Brit tourist tragically plunged to her death from the sixth floor of a hotel in Ibiza.
The tragedy occurred around 3am this morning at a seafront four-star adult-only hotel in the party resort of San Antonio called Hotel Vibra District.
Meanwhile, another Brit tourist died in front of his girlfriend after a 15ft fall at a hotel in Majorca just weeks ago.
