A man who was critically injured during a shooting in South Shore Wednesday night has died, officials said.
The unidentified man, 35, was getting out of a vehicle in the 7600 block of South Stony Island Avenue at 7:17 p.m. when someone fired shots at him, police said.
He was shot multiple times and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and was pronounced dead there at 8:35 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No one is in custody, police said.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
