OAKLAND — A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in a North Oakland parking lot Thursday night, police said.
The name of the man, believed to be a San Leandro resident, has not been released pending notification of his family.
The shooting happened about 10:05 p.m. Thursday in a store parking lot in the 5900 block of Market Street.
Police said the man got into an argument with another man that escalated and resulted in him being shot. He died later at a hospital.
The gunman fled before police got to the lot. A detailed description of the suspect was not released.
