Travis Bailey, 34, was standing outside around 1:20 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of West Lake Street when someone in a gray sedan drove by and fired shots, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Bailey suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital. He was pronounced dead about 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner’s office, which ruled his death a homicide.
