BERKELEY — A man died Saturday night when the motorized scooter he was riding crashed into a parked vehicle, police said Monday.
Neither the coroner’s bureau or police released the man’s name on Monday. He is believed to be a 34-year-old Oakland resident.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of California Street near Addison Street, police said.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, authorities said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
