An argument apparently sparked a shooting that left a 33-year-old man dead early Monday on the Southwest Side.
The victim was arguing with someone in the 3900 block of South Archer Avenue around 3 a.m. when the person he was arguing with shot him twice in the chest, Chicago police said.
The unidentified man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, officials said.
No one was in custody.
Area 1 detectives are investigating.
