A man was shot and killed in McKinley Park on Sunday, according to police.
Nicholas Demitro, 64, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest in the 1900 block of West 34th Place about 4:25 p.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Demitro, of the same block on 34th Place, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition and later was pronounced dead.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, and detectives are investigating.
No one is in custody.
