One person is in custody after a man was shot and killed Saturday morning on the Near North Side, police said.
The 46-year-old victim was inside a car about 9:45 a.m. in the 800 block of North Cambridge Avenue when someone fired shots, striking the man in the back, Chicago police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The suspect fled in a dark-colored car. Police said a person of interest was taken into custody, but it wasn’t clear if another suspect was at large.
Area 3 detectives are investigating.
