A man was shot and killed in a San Pedro neighborhood in what police believe was a gang-related attack over the weekend, authorities said.
Los Angeles police were called to the 400 block of West Oliver Street, between Harker and Mesa streets, about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 9, and found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Officer David Cuellar, a department spokesman.
The 21-year-old man was found on the sidewalk in front of a home and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Cuellar said.
Investigators had not found any witnesses to the crime, Cuellar said.
Further information about the victim was not publicly disclosed by police, pending notification of his relatives.
