A man has been charged in a road-rage shooting that left an 8-year-old girl wounded last month in Douglas.
Kenneth Williams, 23, was arrested Monday and charged with felony counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm, Chicago police said.
About 9:50 p.m. June 24, he allegedly was in a white sport utility vehicle in the 3000 block of South State Street when he and other occupants were arguing with a family inside another car, Chicago police said.
Williams is accused of firing two gunshots at the car, striking the girl in the thigh, police said. The girl was hospitalized in fair condition.
Williams is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
