A man was hospitalized in fair condition after a shooting in Greater Grand Crossing Friday night, according to Chicago police.
The man, 18, was inside a building in the 7200 block of South Vernon Street about 7:19 p.m. when another man shot him before taking things from him and fleeing, police said. The victim was shot in the chin and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.
No one is in custody.
