One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Chatham on the South Side.
Around 9:40 p.m., two men were in the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue when they were both shot, Chicago police said.
One of the men, believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, was shot multiple times in his torso and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name has not been released.
The second man, between 30 and 35, was shot in his head and taken to the same hospital where he was in critical condition, officials said.
Area 2 detectives are investigating ; no arrests have been made.
