A 41-year-old man was killed early Thursday during a “domestic altercation” in a Morgan Park home, Chicago police said.
He was fighting with a female at the home in the 1200 block of West 111th Place about 2 a.m. when the altercation turned physical, police say. She pulled out a gun and shot the man in the chest, according to police. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
A gun was recovered at the scene, and no one has been arrested, police said.
