A man was killed and a teen injured in a South Shore shooting Monday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
Jalen Hibler, 26, and a 17-year-old boy were in an alley near the 2500 block of East 78th Street at 3:39 p.m. when a person fired shots at them, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The man was shot multiple times and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he later died, police said.
The teen was shot in his chest and taken to the same hospital in critical condition, police said. No one was in custody.
