Man killed, woman critically injured in Denver shooting

A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a shooting in Denver on Saturday, according to the Denver Police Department.

Denver police received a call about the shooting around 6:26 p.m. Saturday, according to the department, and announced the incident on X around 6:49 p.m.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of West 5th Avenue and North Sheridan Boulevard, according to police. Two victims were taken to the hospital with unknown injures, the post states.

One victim, an adult man, was pronounced deceased and the other victim, an adult woman, was critically injured but in stable condition, according to a 7:47 p.m. update from the department.

The victims of the shooting have not yet been publicly identified and there are currently no suspects, according to the department.
