A teen boy, who cannot be named, and local Bradley Latter, 29, were also knifed in the horror.
Jazwell Brown appeared at Luton Crown Court today where he pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and attempted murder.
The 49-year-old also admitted possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, a Staffordshire bull terrier.
That charge relates to a dog that was rushed to a vet after being injured in the tragedy.
The horror unfolded at around 6.30pm on Christmas Day inside in a flat in the Bletchley area of Milton Keynes.
One neighbour claimed the injured young boy ran out the home screaming before taking refuge in a house close-by.
Another local said a party had been taking place when a woman appeared on the balcony shouting: “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe”.
They added: “Moments later the teenager has come out the front door screaming and shouting – it was like a horror movie.
“Then the dog ran out – it was a little white dog, but you couldn’t tell because it was covered in blood.”
Thames Valley Police said in a statement: “Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, a man has been charged in connection with a double murder investigation in Milton Keynes.
“Despite formal identification not yet taking place, we can confirm that the women who sadly died in this incident are Joanne Pearson, aged 38 and Teohna Grant, aged 24, both of Milton Keynes.
“We continue to support the families at this difficult time, and our thoughts are with them.
“The families would ask for their privacy to be respected at this time.”
Brown was remanded into custody to be sentenced on May 22.
