A man was in critical condition after being rescued by firefighters after slipping under the waters of Lake Michigan early Wednesday in Edgewater.
The man, 39, was pulled from the water by firefighters around 12:35 a.m. in the 5800 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was in critical condition, police said.
Area 3 detectives were investigating.
