Man seen on ‘date’ with blow-up doll admits it was ‘worst 5 minutes of his life’ after waitress fired for filming

A SIT-down dinner with a blow-up doll turned sour for a man and his server who filmed the so-called date.

Henry Herrera explained he took the blow-up doll to Restoration Hardware’s RH Rooftop Restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina, as punishment for losing his fantasy football league.

His server, Tara Bjork, captured the moment in a TikTok that quickly went viral, amassing over 2.6 million views since she posted it on May 27.

Despite the video’s success, Bjork was fired for violating the restaurant’s policy that bars employees from filming on the clock.

Herrera said the date was intended to be a comical situation and was inspired by videos of similar circumstances.

“The funny thing is it was my idea,” Herrera told Carolina’s Own Queencity News on Monday.

“So, last year we started punishments for the last-place finisher in our fantasy football league.

“The guy last year had to sit in a Waffle House for 24 hours, and every waffle you subtracted an hour. But we kept seeing that online, so we wanted to do something different.”

But he didn’t expect the table he was sitting at to add commotion.

“There’s a fountain that we sat next to. All you could hear was the water in it,” he continued.

“And it was the worst 5 minutes of my life.”

The loud water foundation came as a surprise to Herrera, but the video recording did not.

“I kind of assumed it was going to happen. As I was sitting down, I already saw like six phones recording me,” he said.

“I knew sooner or later the video was going to be somewhere.”

Bjork admitted in the original video that she knew she was not supposed to be recording while working.

“No words,” the video was captioned.

I’m not supposed to be making TikToks at work. But this calls for it. I work at a nice restaurant in Charlotte, I need you guys to see what just came in the door.

FIRED FOR RECORDING

On June 1, Bjork posted again explaining how she was fired from her job due to the video.

“Took a video at work. It went viral,” she said in the video. “I lost my job because I made them look bad. No regrets.”

People commented on the video suggesting that having the doll at the restaurant is worse than recording it.

“They let the sex doll in and UR the bad guy….byeeee,” one user said.

“If anything the guy with the doll made yall look bad ahaha,” another user said.
