A man was hospitalized after a verbal altercation led to a shooting in Back of the Yards on Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
The man, 20, was in a verbal altercation with another person in the 4700 block of South Damen Avenue at 6:35 a.m., and when he tried to walk away, he was shot from behind, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
