A man was shot in Chatham Wednesday night, according to Chicago police.
The man, 35, was in a verbal altercation with another person in the 8100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue at 7:10 p.m. when the other person shot him in the leg, police said. The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
