A man was shot in South Lawndale Wednesday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
The man, 49, was in the street in the 2600 block of West 24th Street at 3:09 p.m. when a person inside a vehicle fired shots, police said.
He was shot in the back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
