Man sitting in vehicle found shot multiple times in Oakland

OAKLAND — A Richmond man sitting in his parked vehicle in the Northgate area was shot multiple times Tuesday night, authorities said.

The condition of the 43-year-old man was not immediately known.

The man was found bleeding outside his vehicle by police and was taken to a hospital.

Residents in the area reported hearing an argument of some kind before the gunfire, authorities said. Police said it appears the man was shot by at least two and possibly more people while he was sitting in his vehicle. The shooters then fled in a vehicle.
