Man wanted for murder in Texas arrested in Dacono

A man wanted in a March murder in El Paso County, Texas, was arrested Monday morning in Dacono.

Angel Lozano, 23, is accused of fatally shooting 26-year-old Aaron Villa on March 20 in Fabens, Texas, a border town roughly 30 miles southeast of El Paso, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Lozano fled to Colorado following the shooting, and the U.S. Marshal Service’s Colorado Violent Offender Task Force learned he was likely staying at a mobile home park near Colo. 52 and Glen Creighton Drive in Dacono, the release states.

Lozano was taken into custody Monday morning and booked into the Weld County Jail, where he is being held on $1 million bond ahead of his extradition back to Texas.
